“No Friend Left Behind” is a participatory emergency information program designed for Northern schools. It seeks to create a stronger and more inclusive social and educational environment for students with disabilities by increasing empathy among their peers, reducing bullying, and encouraging greater participation of students with disabilities in the classroom and community.

“No Friend Left Behind” is also committed to improve the sense of security of students with disabilities and ensuring their safety in the event of an emergency. In this component of the On Thin Ice project, we will work with teachers and schools to develop culturally relevant programming to meet these ends.
